Gorgie Dalry Stenhouse Church serves one of the largest Parishes in Edinburgh, yet retains its strong family vibe. Our congregation consists of people of all ages, nationalities, backgrounds and views.
Students, and the energy and vision they bring, are always welcome here and, in return, we trust that you will find a home-away-from-home. You'll also find no shortage of mature Christians to guide you and opportunities to share in the discipleship of new and younger Christians, especially working alongside our dedicated Children, Youth & Families Worker who coordinates our Sunday Youth Programme, Kids' Club, Youth Club, Holiday Clubs and Family Fun Days.
Our main, contemporary, family-friendly service in GDS Gorgie takes place at 11am. Our evening service at 6:30pm (come at 6 for coffee!) takes place in a cosy, café-church style in GDS Saltyard in Dalry, which is also worth a visit during the week (when it runs as a café) for coffee and cake! GDS Diadem, our third suite of buildings at Chesser Avenue, hosts the Bethany Christian Trust Care Shelter during the colder months and has been uniquely converted from a church building to a shelter with beds, showers and laundry facilities.
We also have regular House Groups, including one ideal for students on Mondays and Fellowship Meals once a month. Those of a musical persuasion will also enjoy engaging in our open mic. events, called 'Songs That Wonder' at GDS Saltyard, Worship Nights and Worship Band, coordinated by our Worship Director & Community Musician.
