Spring Praise Night

17

May

Join us and Christians from all over Edinburgh for a service of praise and worship led by the Exile Band and Choir with members of the Exile Chamber Orchestra. It’s a special event for us as it is also the launch of our new album, un|broken. Almost 12 months in planning and three months in production, the new album brings together the song-writing skills of three of our Origin band members – Rebecca Hardie (soprano), Mark Calder (tenor) and Steph McLeod (guitar).

But the event isn’t about an album – it’s about God, and how He in his wisdom has looked us out and met us despite our doubts, questioning and sin. It’s about the tension between that state of brokenness where God can most easily address our need of Him, and the healing that He brings.

The Exile Band comprises Dave Biddulph (bass, band leader), Luke Wilson (drums), Steph McLeod, Chris Gaspar and Jamie Liddle (guitars), Pedro Orbegozo (percussion) and special guest pianist for this event Esther McColl. Steph, Mark Calder and Rebecca Hardie will also be performing some of their own songs from the new album.

The new album un|broken will be available for purchase at the special launch price of £10 at the event. Credit/debit cards accepted.

Admission is free (an offering will be taken up to help with expenses), and no tickets are required. The evening will be led by Origin’s artistic director, Colin Peckham.
